TEAMWORK and MEDIA CONTENT DESIGN.

Teamwork – 

Working in teams is an essential requirement of working in the media industry. Without teamwork and communication media products would not reach professional standards. For this unit you will work together -This will develop your confidence for independent assessed tasks.

You need to comment on the process of working as a team, reflect on your role and your team members and provide any evident of your contribution and include the final product. Your VPA FILM COMPANY has been commissioned to create a short film -It is also important to take time to reflect on your achievements and areas for improvement within the team.

1.              BE ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SETTING OF THE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL GOALS

1.1.         Identify the team’s goals - 

Our goal is to create a somewhat original short film to the best of our ability. This requires everyone to partake in there desired roles within this production and know their roles and most of all be able to enjoy this creativity design project. 

1.2.         Describe the process involved in planning and deciding the team’s goals - 

The process will be getting everyone to stick to the role they desire and making sure they are able to contribute to the movie. We will decide the teams goals having members put in there ideas within the pitch, cinematography and storyline. 

2.              UNDERSTAND OWN AND OTHERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES IN ACHIEVING THE TEAMS GOALS 

2.1.         Organise own activities effectively within the agreed goals of the team - 

My activity is to write the script which is based around James idea but I can morph the plot outline into whatever comes to mind within my vision...as long as James and the ret of the team agree with my creative input. But my vision most be plausible for the rest of the team to help create it with there help. This involves not making things overly complicated and taking the teams inout from previous projects into account. 

2.2.         Provide information detailing own and other team members’ responsibilities

James	Camera Operator/Actor	Helping Sam (cinematographer) and acting within scenes of his choice
Karim	Editing	Editing the film when it is finished and cementing the scenes together.
Matthew	Director	He will be directing shots and having the film in his creative vison.
Layton	Location Scouter/actor	Finding the locations that will be filmed in and acting in scenes of his choice.
Daniel	Editing	Editing the film with Karim and having scenes cemented together
Jamie	Screenwriter	I will be taking James storyline and adding flesh to it whilst keeping his vision and exceeding in my own.
Josh	Tech operator	He will be helping with the technical elements of the film.
Fentse	Costume and makeup designer.	Having actors on set wear the clothes that fit the story and then having them look like they fit within the fictional word we are creating
Sam	Cinematographer	Having shots be artistic and make them have a storyline on their own.
Deacon	Assistant director	Helping Matthew with the directing and adding input to his vision.

3.              BE ABLE TO PLAN AND UNDERTAKE TEAM ACTIVITIES 

3.1           Plan activities that enable the team to reach its goals - 
26th april: 
Mathew and fencesy have been looking at costumes and he also has been with Daniel and Layton looking at locations. 
i have wrote a small draft script. 
James and josh soucred equipment. 
then at the end of our lesson we drifted ideas and i will sketch out the script with the ideas plotted out. 

The short film has been completed but with my absence certain elements and scenes are left out. With me not being present to finish or give the script to the actors (drama students) the media students in my class had to make there own script that was similar to mine. when I came back we merger the two scripts together using the beginning of mine and then the last half being of everyone else's creation.
